One of the many goals!

We hit one of our goals yesterday with our 25th sale on Etsy! Not only is the lovely buyer getting a beautiful pin, but lots more as well to celebrate the milestone! Also, in just 14 days Dastardly Dames herself will be a year old! Hooray!

Also, we are getting things cranking again and soon we will have more inventory. How much more inventory you ask? Maybe about 40 more pairs of earrings. There's sparkly, sassy, simple and something for everyone. The holidays did get me pretty busy from October to last week, and sadly I didnt plan enough time for my sweet dame. Fear not! That will not happen again my friends :)

Um, back from vacation?

But extremely lazy about updating the blog, clearly.

We are currently at 24 sales and are EXTREMELY excited about our upcoming 25th! Both Cartoon Doll and I have stockpiled tons of amazing gifts to include with whatever is purchased for that sale: three brand new unopened full-sized bottles of nail polish, vintage jewelry, hand-made hair accessories, and some really random stuff as well. It's basically a huge Dastardly Dames moshposh.

Not only are we having a huge giveaway to celebrate our 25th sale, we have a coupon code as well: DD25SALE, good for 25% off the purchase. We'll probably keep it going for awhile after our 25th sale as well.

It would be wonderful to reach the big 2-5 before our first birthday, and nothing short of amazing to reach it before the new year.

We're both so thankful for the 24 sales already under our belts. I honestly never dreamed we would get this far.

Vacation

Just a heads up, Dames will be on vacation until approximately mid-August. If you've had your eye on anything, order it TODAY so it can ship tomorrow. Otherwise you'll be waiting awhile. See you when we get back!

Various snazzy updates

The graphics got a facelift! Say hello to our new little swallow friend, who is the official Dastardly Dames mascot. He replaced the old ugly hand-drawn version that graced all of our banners and icons. I admit I forgot most of my Illustrator learnings from school, but they slowly (and often painfully and with much panic) came back to me.

Another fun update: Our Zazzle store actually contains interesting designs! Now that the swallow design is finished, the shirts have a little more to them than just badly aligned text. (The alignment was fixed, too, thank goodness.) Ch-ch-check it out!

In other news, Dastardly Dames will be providing prizes for contests and giveaways at the third annual Rock Around The Park Disneyland Anaheim event this November! Alright, let's get this party started. First blog, what should I blog about? Many things came up in my head, but then I thought, well, we are promoting Etsy and I really liked Red's entry on springtime and her picks. So, a little idea came into my head, let's do a small entry on flamingos and my picks! I just recently purchased a vintage purse from Etsy, which is very spacious, and oh so cool!

My first pick was this really neat brass necklace. The back is a clock while the front of the pendant is a flamingo
